Before a vendor can send a single quote we verify the company at Companies House, and they connect a bank account through our payment provider, which also verifies who they are. Accounts that fail any step never appear in a buyer search.
Holding your money
When you pay, the part money goes into an escrow account rather than to the vendor. It is released 2 days after you confirm the part arrived and fits, which gives you time to check it before anyone gets paid.
Returns and refunds
Vendors must state whether a part is refundable before you accept, along with the window and who pays return postage. If a part was described as refundable and the vendor refuses a valid return, we refund you from the held funds.
Disputes decided on evidence
Vendors photograph the part and the packed parcel, you photograph what arrived. Support compares both sides with the message thread and decides within three working days.
Staying safe in chat
Keep conversations and payment inside PartSorted. We will never ask for card details in a message, and anything sent through the thread is stored as your record.
